Hey folks, today I’m going to review the ugliest cars at Monterey Car Week. There are some REALLY interesting cars coming up for auction that…make my eyes hurt. These are ugly cars that still somehow end up being awesome. So in no particular order…here we go.
1927 FORD "CALIFORNIA STAR" (Mecum)
One of the few fully-custom, completely hand-built cars in the Blackie Gejeian collection, the California Star stands out from any crowd it finds itself in for a long list of reasons ending with a well-documented controversy surrounding its entry into the 1984 America’s Most Beautiful Roadster competition at the famed Oakland Roadster Show.
