A Little Help From My Car Friends
Most weeks, I share stories, cars, and conversations with you. This week, I’m asking for a little help.
As I finish The Enthusiast’s Guide to Porsche and continue growing The Collector Car Podcast, your connections, expertise, and experiences could make a real difference.
Some of these requests are as simple as leaving a comment. Others might start with an introduction—or a story you haven’t shared with me yet.

1. Help Me Thank Broad Arrow, Hagerty, Jay Leno and YOU
A book today could inspire tomorrow’s enthusiast.
One of the highlights of my Audrain Newport Concours weekend was putting copies of The Enthusiast’s Guide to Collector Cars into the hands of young enthusiasts—including participants in the Hagerty Youth Judging program.
Through “See a Kid, Give a Book,” I want to encourage their curiosity and give them something to keep exploring long after the weekend ends.
Broad Arrow Auctions and Hagerty helped provide the resources to make these giveaways possible. I would love your help thanking them. And a few of you have become anonymous supporter of the campaign…so thank you as well.
When you see my posts from the weekend, please leave a comment thanking Broad Arrow and Hagerty, share the photos, or tell their teams how much you appreciate their investment in young enthusiasts.
Watching these kids study the cars, ask questions, and take home a book reminded me that the future of our hobby starts with the welcome we give them today.
How you can help: Share the “See A Kid, Give A Book” campaign and if you want to be involved, just respond to this email to learn more.

And a special thank-you to Jay Leno for signing my personal copy of The Enthusiast’s Guide to Collector Cars and adding an illustration! It’s a keepsake I’ll treasure. I’m also grateful that he has agreed to contribute to The Enthusiast’s Guide to Porsche—hopefully sharing some of his experiences with his Carrera GT.

2. Last Call: Porsche Book Sponsors & Contributors
Help bring the next Enthusiast’s Guide to life.
My first book, The Enthusiast’s Guide to Collector Cars, has sold more than 1,000 copies in its first six months and received positive reviews from Octane, MotorWeek, Sports Car Market, and other outlets. Along the way, more than 150 copies have been donated to kids through my “See a Kid, Give a Book” campaign, helping inspire the next generation of automotive enthusiasts.
The next book, The Enthusiast’s Guide to Porsche, explores the history, cars, motorsports, personalities, culture, and collector market that make Porsche so special.
Contributors include Hurley Haywood, Adam Carolla, Jeff Zwart, Alwin Springer, Bruce Meyer, Ransom Webster, Jay Gillotti, Karl Ludvigsen, and others.
There is still time to support the book through an advertisement or sponsorship.
Automotive businesses are welcome, as are watch brands, clothing companies, travel providers, yacht businesses, and other luxury goods and experiences that resonate with enthusiasts.
How you can help: Reply to discuss sponsorship or introduce a potential contributor.

3. Show Breguet Some Love
Beautiful watches deserve a little recognition.
Breguet has supplied some amazing watches for me to wear and share during my recent adventures, and I would love your help recognizing their support.
On the PCA Treffen at Sea cruise, there weren’t any Porsches available for a proper car-and-watch photo. So, we improvised: a Breguet Tradition Seconde Retrograde 7097 paired with a Porsche-themed cake!
For my Audrain weekend, I had the opportunity to wear a platinum Breguet Tradition GMT 7067 which I paired with a historic Jaguar C-Type. Its craftsmanship and design felt especially fitting surrounded by Newport’s automotive history.
If you’ve enjoyed seeing these watches, please leave a comment on my posts, share a favorite photo, or let Breguet know you appreciate their support.
How you can help: Comment on or share my Breguet posts.

4. Did You Bid—or Buy—Because of the Podcast?
I’d love to hear your story.
A listener recently reached out and shared the cars he bought at Monterey because of my podcast.
That was pretty special to hear.
I spend a lot of time introducing you to cars, collections, auction offerings, and the people behind them. Hearing that a conversation or video helped someone discover a car—and ultimately buy it—brings that work full circle.
Have you bid on or purchased a car after seeing it on my YouTube channel or hearing about it on The Collector Car Podcast?
Even if you didn’t win, I would love to know what caught your attention and what made you raise your paddle or click “bid.”
Your experiences help me demonstrate the value of this work to the companies that support it—and they might make great stories to share.
How you can help: Hit reply and tell me about your bid or purchase.

5. Selling at Amelia? Start the Conversation Now
Give your car more time in the spotlight.
If you’re considering consigning a car to Broad Arrow’s Amelia Island auction next year, I would be happy to connect you with the team.
My biggest suggestion: consign early to maximize the marketing opportunity.
An early consignment gives the team more time to tell your car’s story, prepare photography and marketing materials, and put it in front of potential buyers.
How you can help: Reply if Amelia is part of your selling plans.

Thank You for Being Part of This
Whether you listen, watch, read, share, make an introduction, or support these projects, I appreciate it.
You don’t have to help with all five. One introduction, one story, or one thoughtful comment can make a difference.
The cars bring us together, but the people make it worthwhile.

Next Week: Carriages & Coffee?
We’re heading back to Newport…circa 1850.
Being at Audrain, surrounded by Newport’s history—including Fort Adams—got me thinking: What would our hobby have looked like in 1850?
Would enthusiasts gather to admire the latest carriage? Would concours judges debate the originality of a wooden wheel? Would someone insist that a carriage was better before its restoration?
Next week, we’re going back in time for a little fun!

“See A Kid, Give A Book” Campaign
One of my favorite parts of The Enthusiast’s Guide project is my “See a Kid, Give a Book” campaign. The rules are pretty simple: at select car shows and events, if I see a young enthusiast genuinely checking out the cars, I may hand them a free copy of the book. There are, however, a few important rules. The kid must actually be there.
The goal is to reward the kids who show up, wander the field, ask questions, and remind us that the future of the collector car hobby might be standing right next to us. If you would like to sponsor a book or books, just respond to this email to learn more.
The Enthusiast’s Guide to Collector Cars is available here and online through Amazon, Walmart, and Barnes & Noble, making it easier than ever to encourage the next generation of enthusiast. Stay Driven, Greg Stanley
